Russia says India will produce armour-piercing tank shells ahead of PM Modi's visit.

The massive state-owned company Rostec, owned by Russia, announced on Thursday that its arms export division has arranged for the manufacture of armour-piercing bullets for Russian-made battle tanks in India.

Prior to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s July 8–9 visit to Russia, where he would meet with President Vladimir Putin, Rostec released a statement.

According to Rostec, the “Mango” projectiles that will be produced in India are intended to be launched from the guns of India’s land forces’ T-72 and T-90 tanks.
