The Royal Monetary Authority (RMA) of Bhutan and NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), the international division of the National Payment Corporation of India, collaborated in July 2021 to enable and execute BHIM UPI QR-based payments in Bhutan.

In Oman, UPI and RuPay

In October 2022, the Central Bank of Oman (CBO) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) allowing Indian RuPay cards issued by Indian banks to be used at all OmanNet network ATMs, Points of Sale (POS) and e-commerce sites, as well as UPI.

UPI throughout the UAE

The UAE is one of the nations where UPI services are approved, according to the government.
UPI in more Southeast Asian nations NIPL and Liquid Group have inked a deal that will allow QR-based UPI payments in ten nations in Southeast Asia. These include Singapore, Cambodia, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
In addition, the government is trying to provide UPI service assistance in the US, UK, Australia, and other European countries.
