Ola Mobility announces the arrival of its e-bike service in Hyderabad and Delhi.
The Ola e-bike service would be the “most affordable, sustainable, and convenient solution to commute within the cities,” the firm claimed in a release, with costs starting at Rs 25 for 5 km, Rs 50 for 10 km, and Rs 75 for 15 km.
Platform for ride-hailing On January 26, Ola declared the opening of its e-bike service in Hyderabad and Delhi. Following the success of a trial program in the city, Ola said it will also increase the number of e-bikes in its Bengaluru fleet. In order to maintain its fleet of e-bikes, Ola has also installed 200 charging stations in Bengaluru. The company intends to build a substantial charging network in every area it serves.
“We have proven its sustainable value proposition for all ecosystem participants – the consumer (lower price), the driver (higher earnings), and Ola (new category and revenues),” said Hemant Bakshi, CEO of Ola Mobility, in a statement regarding the launch. “Now, we look at mass deployments across Bengaluru, Delhi, and Hyderabad and build a larger market for e-Bike taxis in India.”
